This has been a very good semester in Japanese. I feel that the last few weeks were much harder than the first and I suppose that makes sense considering we were learning more and more material that was getting harder and harder. I felt that my speech was pretty good, I prepared a lot for it. Of course it could have been better, there's always room for improvement. However, I think that I rehearsed for it as much as I possibly could, literally. It really helped a lot to practice the language. Renshuu wo shimashoo! I hope we all did well this year, have a wonder Christmas break!~ see some of you next semester!

I enjoyed doing peer revisions/critique about the speeches because it really helps a lot to hear from someone who is at roughly the same skill level about their interpretation of my writing. Since we are all working on learning Japanese together it helps to sometimes leave the teacher who knows as much about the language as anyone will ever need out of the picture for a time and hear from others who are only just beginning just like I am. It also relieves some of the pressures and worry of hearing from Sato Sensei and is more relaxed. However, having her give the comments on the revision will definitely be very, very helpful.
